Foreign exchange students from Germany, France, Slovakia, Brazil and South Korea visited Jeff West this year.
Ten foreign exchange students stayed for either half a year or a full year. These students were Melina Bloome, Kirsten Forester, Melanie Friedrich, Emilie Gautier-Gander, Clara Kuenne, Michaela Lavrincikova, Ji Hyun Oh, Anne Otlinghaus, Manuella Goes and Hendrik Wonsak.
“I decided to become a foreign exchange student almost two years ago because I wanted to learn English,” Lavrincikova said.
Gautier-Gander arrived here in August plans to leave on June 5.
“I’ll miss my friends and the opportunity to practice sports after school,” Gautier-Gander said.
Lavrincikova also arrived in America last August
“Visiting this school was awesome,” she said. “I hope that my school in Slovakia will be so easy and fun as well.”
Friedrich is one of the students visiting from Germany.
“I’m going to miss Mountain Dew and my friends mostly,” she said.
