As all the students at North County know, our school offers open lunch to those earning a high enough score on the MAP test. This simply means that students get to leave campus for lunch on Wednesdays, all year long.

This year, many were let down as they found out they would be eating in NC’s very own cafeteria instead of flying free. As the English MAP scores came in, not very many seniors received open lunch, and it was very surprising to the class as a whole. Apparently, the math part of the MAP test must have been easier, seeing as more juniors received this open lunch privilege.

Lucky for those that did not do their best on the MAP test, there is another option. If you have taken and received at least a 22 on the ACT, you have an opportunity for open lunch as well.

So, if you did not do well enough on the MAP test, there is still a chance for you. If you are serious about eating what you want on Wednesdays, take the ACT, and hope for the best.
