Ushering summer fun, Spring Fling Week has been a big success!

This week kicked off the first ever “Spring Fling” week at North County High School. Spring Fling celebrates the coming of the spring season. Each day this week had its own theme. Monday was “Go Green” day, where students dressed up in recyclable material or just wore green for the environment. Tuesday was Superhero day, and students dressed up as their favorite superheroes. There was everything from Batman to Master Chief from the popular “Halo” game series. Wednesday was mismatch day, and students dressed up in mismatching clothes. There were some crazy outfits, as plenty of students participated.  Thursday was twin day, where students dressed up like each other. Friday was, Luau day, where students dressed up in grass skirts and lays.

Also during “Spring Fling” week the different hallways had a hallway decorating contest. Each hall has had some pretty cool designs, and in the English hallway there is even a tiki hut. During passing periods this week, music has been playing throughout the hallways, with each day also having its own musical theme. Monday was Beach Boy day, as famous Beach Boys tunes were displayed over the load speaker.  Tuesday was superhero theme songs, famous theme songs such as “Spiderman”, “Batman”, and even “The Imperial March” from Star Wars. Wednesday was annoying songs day, which featured plenty of songs, but the one song that stuck out in everyone’s head was “Peanut Butter Jelly Time” from the hit sitcom Family Guy. Thursday was the same theme form Monday.  Friday was, Hawaiian theme day, and Hawaiian music was blared throughout the hallways.

Mrs. Schunks had the wonderful idea for this incredible week. I believe that everyone had fun with it and I hope that it will return once again next year.
