loads of fun!

There is actually people playing basketball but there is a twist, they are riding on donkeys!!! The running, dribbling, and shooting all taking place on the backs of donkeys provided by the BuckEye Donkey Ball Company, could it be any more fun than this? This is real and you can get a piece of this action on April 25, 2009 at 7:00 PM in the North County High School gym.

There will be two different teams like the traditional way. One team teachers and the other will be students. Tickets are $6.00 and you can get these from any senior and if they are out ask another. You can also go to Mrs. Buckner’s room #228. Tickets at the door will be $8.00 and the whole community is welcome so please bring friends and family to share in the fun.

Did I mention there will be clowns? Well there will be! I sat down and asked Mrs. Buck a few questions about this event and here are the results:

Me: What was your inspiration for bringing Donkey Basketball to North County?

Buck: I participated in Donkey Basketball at a previous school district and loved it.

Me: Do you see this being used again in the future as a fund raiser?

Buck: Hopefully every three years for Project Grad or FCCLA.

Me: Do you have anything you would like to say to the community?

Buck: “Yes. This will be a fun filled night for any age. The first 125 children age 12 and under will get a chance to ride the donkeys at half-time. We also have a few treats for you. We have the RaiderMen doing the half-time performance, two funny clowns, and special cheerleaders.”

So as you can tell we are excited about this and we hope to see you there.
