The North County Lady Raiders soccer team has been on a roll as of late. They have won 6 games this season, already breaking the girl’s school record of 3. This week they have played 3 games and are awaiting their conference rivals Farmington at home. The Lady Raiders defeated a tough Sullivan team on Tuesday 6-3, and defeated Windsor 2-1 in penalty kicks. The game was tied at the end of regulation and at the end of the first overtime, so the girls went into penalty kicks and tied 3-3. So, the Lady Raiders went into sudden death penalty kicks, and got that extra goal to get the win. Last night the girls traveled to St. James and lost and 2-0, but they left most of their starters out due to a non-conference game.
The Lady Raiders look to pick up some more momentum tonight as they play arch enemies Farmington. The game will be played at North County Middle School, so the Lady Raiders have home field advantage. The girls this year are looking to be the pride of North County by being the best girl’s soccer team in our history.
