Most are aware that seniors get out about a week before everyone else does. Why do they get out early? Activities!

On Monday seniors will be going to play laser tag. Tuesday is the annual senior picnic, and Wednesday is the traditional trip to six flags.

The week is cut a little short this year because graduation is taking place on Thursday, May 21st, instead of the usual Friday date.

That leads me to the seniors last day, Thursday. In the morning seniors will have a dress rehearsal to make sure they are ready for the big night. In the evening, well, you know what happens.

Right around 260 happy young adults will have their name called, they will walk the field they have known for four years, and they will accept the last paper-work they will ever accept as high-schoolers. I know the words that will be on most minds, like my own,

            “We’re finally done!”
