“Team work was the key to all of our wins,” Coach Schrum says of the 2009 volleyball team. While there were many obstacles that got in the team’s way, Coach Schrum stated, “It felt like we had to jump through hoops to have a good night.” But overall, the girls played as a team and played well together.

            The season ended with a 9-4 record for the JV team.  Coach Schrum said, “They did a great job for having only six players.” She is very proud of the younger girls. “They were put into a situation in which they could not finish their season, and then they stepped up and then proved that they could play with the varsity team.”

            The varsity team unfortunately did not have very many wins though they did show that they could work hard and play together.

            In the end, Coach Schrum said, “The season was very hard. When the girls worked as a team and played hard, win or lose, they looked good.”
