We will be having an assembly to recognize local veterans who have served in the military.  Included in the ceremonies will be a plaque presentation to the family of Michael Deason a 1996 North County graduate who was killed in  Iraq on August 31, 2006.  We will  dedicate a board to honor North County graduates who have served in the military.  State Representative Linda Fischer will also present a proclamation to honor Michael Deason.  
    Our North County band will play the military branch songs.  The North County singers will perform. Principal Emily Bach will sing the national anthem.  Dr. Poorman will give the opening remarks to welcome the guests and Iraqi veteran Principal John Crabtree will give the closing remarks.  After the ceremony, all veterans will be invited to stay for a catered lunch supplied by the school.
