Hey Kids! Do you ever wonder what a bug’s life is like? Well, now’s your chance! At the Garden Friends Playground at the NC Zoo you can have fun in the “garden.” You can slide down a giant leaf, climb to the top of a spider web, play on veggies, and slide down an underground tunnel. You can even ride on the back of a preying mantis!

Parents, not only is this playground fun, but it teaches kids which bugs in your garden at home are good and which bugs are pests. However, the playground is designed for kids 48 inches tall or under. The mulch that covers the floor of the playground is made of rubber, so be cautious with kids that have latex allergies.
