Down, Set, Hike! Stern explodes up from his three point stance and obliterates the opposing defensive lineman on the other side of the trenches. From camps to practice to just playing it with friends he loves the game of football. He is doing whatever he can to be the best he can be.
“I want at least an opportunity to play Division1 Football” says the down to earth junior. “If it takes lifting weights then that’s what I will do, If it takes going to camps then I will do that too” says Stern. Since the summer before his senior year is most important, he wants to make a good impression on anybody he can.
This means setting some goals for himself like getting stronger, and having a great senior year, and going to camps. Like many Americans who spend their summers melting away in front of their television sets or game systems, Stern is outside exercising and doing what he loves to do.
The bottom line is if more kids and adults could have this discipline or work ethic we would see the obesity rate drop steadily. So this summer instead of tuning into your favorite TV show, enjoy the fresh air. And always remember stern says “Every day you’re not working out or exercising, somebody else is getting better”.
