the late Leo

Some people might know him for his swagger when he walked down the hallway, the way he mad people laugh, or his wonderful costumer service he has working at Win Dixie on Hypoluxo, but Leopold Lancelot Thomas, otherwise known as Leo, drowned on Lake Worth beach on April 13, 2009.

Leo, was a former students at Santaluces in 2003 Leo and his family immigrated from Jamaica. In 2007, Leo graduated from Santaluces. At a young age, Leo was very athletic where he became captain of the soccer team because of  the wonderful skills he had on the field. It seem like his team mates always expected him to do well so that they could win.  Leo loved to be called "The Soccer King." His friends and family never missed a game of Leo’s and they cheered for him at the games. Leo received many medals and trophies for his soccer skills.

Leo passed away at twenty years old by tragically drowning at Lake Worth Beach, where he caught a cramp two hundred yards away from shore and could not swim back.

"Leo was a fun, silly, and a good friend to me. He brought light to Winn- Dixie and he was the last person I would see go," said co- worker Fayola Bellange.

That week, friends and family gathered at Lake Worth Beach and threw flowers in the water to horner Leo's death.

"He was always on the honor roll and brought good vibe wherever he goes. He was one of my closest friends when we were in school together and I really miss him," said his cousin, Rolando Williamson.

“Leo was very protective about me he always wanted me to stay away from the boys. During basketball games he was always loud with his best friend, Greg.  A lot of people knew him when I got on Myspace I'd see Leo's face all over,” said Leo's cousin Nacheka Thomas

Leo might be gone but he will never be forgotten, February 9, 2009 - April 13, 2009 R.I.P.
