Chef Leo Renzette sits back and teaches his students through notes
Chef Leo Renzette is arguably the most popular teacher at Santaluces High School.

With his hands on approach to teaching culinary arts, and easy going attitude he instantly wins the heart, and respect of his students.

“ I feel inspired," said Renzette. "I genuinely enjoy seeing kids face light up when they’re learning the in and outs of cooking.”

“I definitely prefer the classroom setting more it’s all new for students it also gives me fresh start.” A dedicated family man once brought his two-year old, Sophia, to work with him while he was preparing for a function. Chef Renzette is originally from Delaware immigrated here fourteen years ago when he married his wife Mrs. Renzette a fellow teacher here at santaluces. Chef has been teaching here for three years, but has accomplished a lot in his tenure.Along with chef Swaye, he co-founded of the Tomahawk Cafe, which he feels is the best in the county by far. The cafe creates revenue by catering school banquets, district events, and SAC meetings. The key to our success here is our hard work and great attitude towards our craft.

“Between chef and myself, students get separate styles that blend together to make a great team.”

Chef Renzette puts the time into making Santaluces a great place to learn, and a tasty place to eat
