Spring Trends -

The spring season is approaching, and the stores are coming alive again with new trends seen on the runways of New York.  Winter is known for its dull and neutral colors, but this time of year calls for some pops of color.  The designers are taking more risks and attempting new styles that will either have everyone wearing it or absolutely no one.

One of the biggest changes for this coming season in stores is the bright colors such as reds, greens, purples, and yellows.  Pants are being sold in a variety of colors that would be perfectly matched with a mutually colored top.  Mint green is a seemingly popular color for spring.  A great pair of pants or shirt with this shade of green would make the look refreshing.

Another trend uprising is pleats, pleats, and more pleats.  Skirts have slightly shied away from a straight and narrow cut to a fuller look.  They are then detailed with pleats.  For skirts this season, the best option is to buy one that is either slightly above knee length or hitting the upper calf.  The super short length for bottoms is not as appealing anymore.

The weather gets warmer this time of year, and people want to bare a little skin.  To balance this fashion with a conservative side allow for warmth, the best thing to do is try a one shouldered outfit.  Models were showing off their shoulders on the runway with one shouldered dresses.  Another option is trying out the “cold shoulder” trend.  This is when the top or dress reveals only a small part of the shoulder, but covers it slightly below and above.  This look is incredibly elegant and will be perfect for a choice in a dress.

This season will be fun with all the new ideas in the stores.  The colors make everything feel more alive and happy.  It is nice to finally see some of this in the stores because it intrigues on lookers to actually go in and explore.  The other trends let the shoppers take more risks in their wardrobe and try something new.  That is the meaning of fashion: to take risks and wear whatever you want that describes your personality.
