Listen to Liv! -

Dear Liv,

I have barely survived my freshman year of high school online.  Could you give me some advice for the next 3 years of it?

Sincerely,

Alfred (fake name)

Dear Alfred,

Congratulations on surviving year number one!  To survive the next three years here are 5 tips:

Tip #1: Stay Current

Create a schedule.  If you create a schedule for yourself every day and push yourself to stay on it, then you will be able to stay current with your school work.

Tip #2: Ask for Help

If there is ANYTHING that you don't understand or need a little help with, go to your teacher.  Do not push it off and say that you will come back to it.  Get it done!

Tip #3: Office Hours

If you happen to get behind, don't waste any time to get caught up.  Attend the teacher’s office hours and it will give you a push to catch up.

Tip #4: Make Some Friends

Friends are important to have.  If you are struggling with something, chances are so is a friend.  If you are too embarrassed or shy to talk to a teacher on your own, go with a friend.

Tip #5: Enjoy the Process

Staying current and not being behind will help you enjoy high school more.  If you are always struggling to catch up, you may start stressing out and that makes it even harder to do school.  Enjoy yourself by learning more.

I hope these 5 tips will help you with the rest of High School.  You are doing great if you survived this year.  Good luck!

Sincerely,

Liv
