Taco Salad -
With summer just around the corner, I love to start replacing my savory soup with crunchy salads. One of my favorites is Paula Deen’s taco salad. It is so easy, it only takes about 10 minutes to prepare, and it makes about 6 to 8 servings.

 You will need:

2 ripe tomatoes

1/2 pound sharp Cheddar cheese

1 large onion, diced

1 head iceberg lettuce, washed, drained, and shredded

1 pound ground beef, browned, crumbled and drained

1 cup salad dressing

1 (7-ounce) bag taco flavored chips, crushed

1 cup salsa

1 cup sour cream

1 bag of tortilla chips

Once you have prepped all the ingredients, you will need to combine the tomatoes, cheese, onion, lettuce, salad dressing, and ground beef in a large bowl. Make sure you mix in all the ingredients well. In a separate bowl mix the salsa and sour cream together. When you are ready to serve, pour the salsa and sour cream mixture over the salad and stick the tortilla chips into the sides of the bowl. Then you’re done!
