Dodge, dip, dive, duck and dodge are the five the five d’s of dodge ball according to “Dodgeball: The True Underdogs Story.” The senior class is going to put this statement to use for a tournament, bringing together both students and staff to play dodgeball.

The event will be happening Tuesday Nov. 11 after school and is open to everyone.

“Anyone can do it, including teachers. We encourage everyone to get together with their friends and create a team,” Senior Class Vice President Alyssa Toillion said.

Eight people are allowed per a team and the cost is $25 per a team.

The money is going to the senior class, who is in charge of Senior Week.

“I hope a lot of people come so we earn money for Senior Week,” Senior Class President Jessica Menska said.

Plans for Senior Week are still in the process of being made, but an outline might include, “breakfast, pizza and ice cream day,” Toillion said.

The first of the tournaments will be in gym B. The top three teams will play in front of the whole school after school. The winning team will get to play a team of teachers.

“A few years ago they did this and the teachers got beat big time,” Toillion said. “It really was funny.” The idea came up in a meeting where the senior class was deciding how to raise money for Senior Week.

“Well it was kind of an idea previous years had, so our class thought it was a good idea,” Menska said.

As of now it is not known if spectators will be allowed, due to sitting space in the gyms.

“I hope a lot of people come and want the school to participate and students get involved,” Menska said.
