With the grills roaring and the charcoal blazing, it was time to start tailgating. Groups of students were gathered around the backs of trucks grilling hot dogs, burgers, and enjoying each other’s company. Juniors Chris Falk and Numan Samaan were the mastermind’s behind the grill by their car along with a DJ.

“[We] cook, eat, play football, go watch the game, and go home.” Samaan said.

They began tailgating a few years ago when their friends invited them to come along and have been loyal game goers ever since.

“[We’ve been to] almost every game.” Samaan said.

Foods on the usual menu are hot dogs, pineapple, hamburgers, shrimp, pork chops and jalapeños. Along with food, they also have some fun stories.

“[One time I] lit a match and dropped it on someone’s pants.” Samaan said. A few words of wisdom from these tailgaters:

“Don’t make too big of a fire.” Samaan said.
