Every Thursday at 5:15 pm., the football players cheerleaders, and coaches get together in the cafeteria for food and fun with the teammates to get ready for the game the next night.
“It’s a big team thing, its fun with the guys,” Junior Trevor White said. These dinners are very important, and a tradition.
“There is pizza, pasta, fruit, chicken wings, fried chicken, macaroni, and subs,” senior Carter Haynes said. With all the great food, there are some things a lot of the players want.
“There is competition to get this Oreo vanilla pudding stuff, because it goes quickly,” White said.
There is a lot of food … which means a lot to players like Aaron Hare, who teammates said eats the most. They also get the wonderful help of the senior moms at these dinners.
“We just talk with each other,” Haynes said. Both the junior varsity and the varsity attend the dinners.
These dinners get everyone exited for the game, and ready to play. Let’s hope all those subs lead to a great Pirate victory.
