If I had to sum up the beginning of the 2008- 2009 school year in one word, it would be change. In this issue, we will be exploring the change happening all around us. Whether the change is new computers, the lack of backpacks crowding the hallways, Professional Learning Community days, or the way our athletes practice, it is visible at RRHS. Change is also the word of choice outside the realm of our school. The 2008 Presidential election is on Nov. 4, and no matter your political beliefs, change is evident. Just think, either an African American or a woman will be in office! Putting politics aside, I hope that you will reflect on the change happening all around after reading this issue, and even if you don’t change your mind, at least it will get you to think about more important things than next week’s episode of “Gossip Girl” or the likelihood of the Browns actually winning.
