Senior, Randy Hall, goes deeper than just another face in the hall, no pun intended. Beneath his obvious good looks and rugged persona, there is an artist who lives a life with meaning and a dream.

Randy is a driven student who strives to do well in the classroom so that it will help him achieve greatness outside of the classroom whether it’s baseball or the simplicity of life situations.

As mentioned, Randy is a member of our varsity baseball team, where he shines in the left field. The varsity baseball is currently 7-2 in conference.

Randy loves baseball despite the fact that his father, Stu Hall, used to play pro-football for the New England Patriots.

So, then why baseball? “I love the way it’s played,” he responded. “It never gets boring. Obviously the best feeling is winning, and team chemistry is everything.”

He loves the Giants and idolizes Barry Bonds “other than the steroid thing,” along with his good friend, John Rezendes.

But besides the studious behavior and baseballing talents, he enjoys drawing, cooking, and, most importantly, aspires to be a fireman.

Randy has been involved with art since he was about six. He learned from his grandma who is an artist.

“I like realism because if I put my mind to it then I can get it done,” says Randy. “I’m able to get exactly what I want with a pencil,” he continued about his favorite medium, drawing.

He was in AP Art last year with a concentration in music and the different generations of music.

Now on to cooking- Randy’s mom, who is Portuguese, is a “really good cook,” he says. He loves to make pasta of any kind for family and friends. Currently he is trying to perfect Portuguese pink beans, to which he says, “Some day.”

Randy aspires to be a fireman. He first wanted to because he “loves the trucks- that’s what attracted me.”

He plans on attending Scottsdale, College of San Mateo, or Wenatchee in order to further his education to become a fireman and, most importantly, to play some baseball.

1.) If you had the option of flying or swimming everywhere, regardless of the terrain, which one would you choose and why?

Swimming because it would be more interesting. Flying would be boring because all you would see is clouds, whereas, swimming would have whales.

2.) If you had to taste one flavor for your life, between chocolate, vanilla, or cherry, which one would you choose and why?

Cherry because it’s a fantastic flavor.

3.) If a biography were written about you what would be the title and why?

Life on the Left because a lot of my talents come from the left side.

4.) If someone were to paint of picture of you, what would be the setting and why?

Sailing in Australia because it sounds amazing.

5.) If you could live in any time period, what would it be and why?

The 1950’s because I like the style of the 50’s. I love the cars and clothes. Plus the music isn’t that bad.

6.) If you were in a band, what kind of music would you play and why?

Classic rock because I love it.

7.) If you had to watch one movie for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?

Braveheart because it never gets old.

8.) What movie do you think is like you and relative to your life and why?

The Natural because the character was raised off of baseball. It inspired me because the character followed his dream and never looked back. Just like him, I’ve been able to overcome adversity.

9.) If you were a teacher, what kind of teacher would you be (subject and age group)?

An art or PE (weights) teacher and high school.

10.) If you had to be a Fanta flavor, what would you be and why?

Orange because a lot of people drink orange Fanta.
