The Arrowhead varsity boys’ volleyball team finally came out on the winning end of a big match at home against Catholic Memorial on October 12th.

The Warhawks lost the first game (25-18 CMH) to the fifth-ranked Crusaders, but from then on it was all Arrowhead. Through the next 3 games, neither team dominated but the Hawks found a way to scrape out a hard-fought victory (25-23 AHS, 25-20 AHS, 25-19 AHS).

Tim Brandt had an incredible game for the Hawks with 16 kills and 4 blocks. John Casnovsky had 47 assists and Josh Bleck added 8 digs.

With the Classic 8 conference tournament coming up on October 20th, the Warhawks have picked a good time to start playing up to their potential.

On October 5th, the Warhawks boys’ volleyball team went to Waukesha North and defeated the Northstars.

Arrowhead won the first game easily, 25-14. After that things got a little more difficult for the Warhawks. North kept the games tight, but Arrowhead refused to lose (27-25 AHS, 25-23 AHS). Arrowhead also won the courtesy match by a narrow margin (25-23 AHS).

Ramzi Korkor played well for the Hawks, finishing with 11 kills. Jake Hobbs added eight kills and Tim Brandt had another six. John Casnovsky had 25 assists and four service aces on top of that. Following the victory, Arrowhead stands with a record of 3-2, putting them in fourth place in the Classic 8.
