Crashing from moment one was the season premiere of One Tree Hill on the WB.

The last scene of season two of One Tree Hill was the office of Dan Scott Motors blowing up. What happened to Dan? Brooke had to go to California for the summer, and Lucas moved back in with his mom, but not before he professed that he wanted to be with Brooke. What happens to his HCM medication, and his heart, when it runs out? Peyton’s mother shows up at her front door, but didn’t her mother die? Nathan’s leaving for High Fliers, a prestigious basketball camp, and Haley appeared at the Scott’s front door. Season three has been long- awaited for.

Though we don’t find out who really set fire to the car dealership, Dan does not get killed off, much to others’ dismay. The show might fall apart if they didn’t have their main cause of conflict. Brooke moves into Nathan’s old apartment, and Haley becomes her new roommate. Lucas and Brooke form a relationship, but not exclusive. Still Lucas has told no one of his disease, and it’s starting to take a toll on his body, probably the only reason to continue watching the season.

For a season premiere, it was a bit of a let down. It did have some really good parts, mostly the cliffhanger, but that was just to get us to watch the premiere, and one question was answered in the first five minutes. The only one left to answer is who set fire to the dealership. I personally think they could have done a better job.

We find out some new information on Peyton and her birth mother. The show tells of how Peyton was adopted and how it was her adoptive mother who died. This woman who appeared in the last episode of season two, is really her birth mother. But Peyton hates Ellie already when she didn’t get to know her. It seemed like they were trying to make conflict.

The use of foreshadowing in the premiere is a good way to catch the audience up with what had been going on for the last few months since they couldn’t pick up where they left off. I think they could have done a better job on it though, since the audience didn’t know how far back the story was going. Subtitles would have been nice.

Usually the episodes of the entire season find some way to keep you watching but had this been the first episode of One Tree Hill I was watching, I would not continue to watch the season. It was a real let down as premieres go.
