“Every year the Arts Council makes an effort to choose one show that will target the youth in our community...this was the show!” stated Carla Foth. Last year it was the Chinese Acrobats, this year it was Tap Kids. The Tap Kids program featured eight tap dancing kids from all around the United States. They had to audition in New York and had to rehearse for several months. They have performed all around the world, even for the Queen of Holland. “Tap Kids was awesome…due to the fact that we have never seen anything like it before.” Commented senior Gabe Tovar. Tap Kids was acted out as a play with tap dancing. It told a story of high school kids who are getting ready for the upcoming dance. It had many dancing and singing scenes, which were very unique. “This was a very unique opportunity for everyone in our community to experience this extraordinary talent. It is not every day that our youth are given the chance to watch tap dancing!” commented Foth. Indeed, Tap Kids was unique and was enjoyed by all who attended.
