The days after long winter nights are the best days for most high school students because it usually means a snow day. It is a day to finish homework or a day to sleep for many. For others, it is a day to go sledding or to have snowball fights with their friends.

The student opinions for snow days are mostly positive as they want more days off school. Alaina Ott, a sophomore at CHS, said, “I like snow days because it’s one less day of the week that we have to attend school.” While at home Alaina likes to play in the snow, build snow men and go sledding.

The teachers are the ones who suffer because they have to figure out a way to cram all their assignments into a shorter week. Most teachers are still hopeful that with make-up days they can finish their curriculum before the semester ends. As more make up days are being planned many teachers are dealing with it better than others. “I like to make up the days that were lost” said Ms. Donner, a student teacher,” I don’t rush the work, instead I push back some of the work.”

Although, some people like snow days and some do not, it is easy to say that almost everybody loves snow!
