Many schools have EOCs(end of course) that they have to take at the end of the semester. Some schools may not have exams or EOC. Hixson High School has some exams that some students have taken. Like the U.S History EOC.

I really didn’t like the EOC. If you ask any student that took that exam, then it really doesn’t cover the stuff that we have talked about in our class. Is it me, or are the teachers not teaching us what we need to know? If you ask me, it really can’t be the teachers, because my U.S. History teacher said that she really didn’t know what would be on the EOC. She said that she knows some things that would be on there, but she can’t really give us the specifics.

When I took the U.S History EOC I really didn’t know some of that stuff. You have to answer something so that you can get credit for it. So either way it goes, you are still screwed up. Why is it that the Hamilton County School Board doesn’t give some kind of information to the teachers so that they can teach us some or prepare us for this test?

It’s really not our fault if we don’t get some of the stuff, because some teachers don’t take time to sit after school or during school to help you. Some don’t even care. So, you just ask yourself, “ what am I supposed to do to get some help to pass my EOC?”
