Role Models is the kind of movie that you should go see with all your friends to wipe away the stress from a long week.
The movie is based on two grown men (Scott and Rudd) who are sentenced to 150 hours in a big brother program after losing their job for running into a statue with a monstertruck at a school and having a mental break down because he was turned down when he proposed to his girlfriend (Banks).
Not wanting to do the program in the first place, the two men had been assigned to possibly the worst kids in the program. Wheeler,(Scott) who is a light-spirited person who still acts like a teenager, is assigned to Ronnie Sheilds, (Shields) a tiny guy with a big attitude that loves to cause problems for his mentor. Danny, (Paul Rudd) a tight-wound man who seems to never be happy, is assigned to Augie Farks, (Mintz-Plasse) a teenageloser who pretends to be a knight and wears a cape and carries a cardboard sword around everywhere he goes.
Both mentors have trouble with their two new menaces in the beginning of the movie. Ronnie tries his hardest to get Wheeler into troubleand kicked out of the program, while Danny tries to make Augie grow up and stop pretending. Towards the end of the movie, Ronnie teaches Wheeler to grow up alittle, while Augie teaches Danny to be happy and not so serious all the time.
Although some parts of the movie were raunchy, the laughs and soon-to-be famous lines from the characters made up for all the cheesiness.
This is the kind of movie that you can watch over and over again and still laugh your socks off. I went to go see it twice, and the second time I saw it, I noticed new parts in the movie that I did not notice the firsttime.
Role Models is a realistic comedy that make all genders from all age groups laugh, and even hasa few touching moments.
