Fashion shows, Martial Arts, dancing and lots of food! Asian night was held on Friday, March 6, 2009. Asian night is a night students here at Chelsea High School look forward to every year. As a new comer, I was curious to find out what all the fuss is about.

I went to Asian night with a close friend, and enjoyed the many acts performed by Asian Club. The night started off with Michael Chung hosting, and the acts began. A few performances included; Coconut Dance, Mua Quat fan dance, Asian club Martial Arts, and C.C.S Martial Arts—all were performed wonderfully.

The fashion show was filled with kimono robes, Asian footwear, and other Asian clothes being paraded down the catwalk with music blasting from the speakers.

After the Fashion show, people exited the auditorium and went straight to the buffet they had been anticipating from the start. The night ended with the Asian Club dance.

This year, the Asian Club had teamed up with a non-profit organization called Water Centric which according to its website is “a ‘bridge’ organization between geographic areas that are in most urgent need of improved water, sanitation and hygiene and the international agencies, technical experts and individuals committed to changing the situation. The Asian Club decided to donate 100% of the profits to Water Centric.
