After dealing with scheduling conflicts that set back the date, the junior class finally held its Talent Show on May 29. The show started with dancing and introductions of the hosts Raul and Victoria and the faculty judges, Ms. Kristen Almquist, Ms. Carol Resnek and Mr. Gary Mathews.

One of the stars of the night was Wendy Cheng, who initially claimed she had a sore throat. The audience was taken by surprise when she launched into a fantastic rendition of “Like a Boy” by Ciara, which earned her second place from the judges.

Senior Jose Romero, performing for his last time in a talent show, ended with a great dance routine that earned him first place. He performed with his four girls – Stephanie Medina, Angela Pineda, Sheyla and Dolores. “Romero and his Girls” also danced to a Ciara song – “Promise.”

Following intermission, it went from break dancing to belly dancing. The show was very interesting and exciting as some seniors came to watch and give some support to their friends. Some seniors got shout outs, especially Michael Cheng.
