It’s getting close to that time again; graduation is right around the corner. Friends will be going their separate ways and traveling to new cities, and enemies will move on from their troubles. Most seniors will be going off to college to start a new chapter in their adult lives.
Here at WCHS, there are a few top university and community college choices. After asking various senior students, the top five college choices among seniors (in no particular order) were Middle Tennessee State University, Tennessee Tech University, The University of Tennessee Chattanooga, The University of Tennessee Knoxville, and Motlow State Community College.
Since Motlow is in our home town of McMinnville, it has taken the top spot. Every year, a good percentage of the senior class attends the community college to complete their general education basics and save money by living at home.
When asked where she would be attending college this fall, senior Mindy Patrick said, “I’m picking MTSU because it has a nice campus and it is in a bigger city, but still has small town values.” Che Wiley, who is known for her dance skills, said, “I plan to go to Motlow to get my basics, and then [I will] hopefully go on to The Julliard School in the future.”
