Junior Junction

Joel Shumaker lives in Keyser with his parents and two younger brothers. He has a cat and a dog. He is involved in many activities such as, baseball, football, and the pep club. When not in school, Joel says he would like to find out what love is. Joel spends his time opening doors and eating mushrooms. Joel once counted the number of bumps on a basketball. He also likes to read things. (Stop signs, Dr. Seuss books, back packs, etc.)

His favorite movie is Napoleon Dynamite.

When asked why he liked the movie so much he replied, “Because I feel like it, Gosh.”

Joel watches TV at a minimal percentage of the day, but his favorite TV show is Sponge Bob Square Pants, “it’s on all the time.”

He is excited about being a senior next year and plans to go to in the army.

“The army has always fascinated me.”

He wants join the ROTC (Regular Officers Training Core) at WVU. Later in his life he hopes to watch the paint dry.

Senior Spotlight

Amanda Taylor lives with her parents and older sister in Keyser. She has 1 dog and 7 cats. Amanda enjoys playing volleyball and is a member of the Journalism club. Her favorite class is Social Studies.

“I like history and learning more things,” she said.

After school Amanda has fun hanging out with her friends and going shopping. She plans to go to college for music education. Amanda doesn’t know which college to go to, Fairmont or WVU.

“I play the violin and I was a member of chorus last year. I really enjoy music,” she said.

Amanda’s favorite movie is “Moulin Rouge.” She also likes to watch “Will and Grace” on TV. In her spare time she enjoys reading a good book.
