The fall season iscoming to a close and just like any other sport it is time to step up thecompetition, and the marching band is doing just that.
With practice duringclass and after-school practice two days a week, as well as football games, theband has prepared their show for the competitions of this season.

With theseason drawing to a close the band is cleaning their show"Schizophrenia" up, with music originally composed by Danny Elfman.
Oct. 11 was the date of the first festival of the season, Basha's owninvitational "Sounds Along The San Tan". This year was the first timeBasha has hosted its own festival, as well as its first year in Division I.
The program has shown growth that they have experienced and gained over thepast four years. Basha placed sixth with a score of 68.3, just 7.3 points awayfrom first place.

On Oct. 18,the band also competed at Arizona State University's Band Day, an all-day eventwhere marching bands all over the state come to compete for titles, earningsixth place among the other bands.

Competitions such as this prove that the show must go on no matter what.Frontline only had so much time to set up and plug in, only to find there wasno power to the speakers, soundboard, and synthesizer.

Still, students and directorsare proud of the performance and took their scores as motivation to continue toimprove and change the show to enhance performance as well as music.
Taking the opportunity, the band traveled to participate at a marchingcompetition called Bands of America in Las Vegas, Nevada, where they competedand ranked 14th. After, they continued on to a competition in Utah, where they took home Utah State Champions for Division 4.
With twoweeks left in the season and competitions such as the University of ArizonaBand Day and Arizona State coming up, the band is preparing for the end of theseason and continues to improve to further their hopes of placing high in thecoming competitions.
