“Bigger, Faster, and Stronger” is the famous motto of the THS  weight room . That motto now has a new home.    The new THS weight foom has now opened in the former TMS building.

Instructor Mark Sims has been saving money in his budget over the years to help fund a new weight room: $98,000 was spent on the equipment in the room including the mirrors, a stereo system , and the floor mats. This investment has helped create what many agree is one of the nicest weight rooms in the state.

“I love the new weight room. It makes me feel lots better that I can have a big room to make kids champions. There are so many choices of lifts, which can work every muscle in your body. The facility is much safer without the hot pipes right above you like the old weight room,”  Sims said.

“The weight room is a great investment in THS.. I hope the lifts will make me a lot stronger. It will be at very beneficial as long as people lift and not just talk,” senior Ryan L. said.

“The weight room is very nice looking . The mirrors are an intelligent addition. The stations are more organized and cleaner,” senior Chelsae C. said.

“I like the unilateral machines. They are very organized. I love the mirrors so I can look at myself while I pound,” junior Austin M. added.
