It’s February once again and it seems everywhere you go someone is voicing his opinion of Valentine’s Day. Some believe it is the most romantic of days and others could certainly do without it. Is Valentine’s Day sweet and sentimental or simply a Hallmark-induced-horror? Students weighed their opinions.

Katie MacDonald- “I guess it’s sweet for like, couples, but . . . It’s also kind of corny.”

Tom Fuchs- “You know how Thanksgiving is an excuse to be with your family and Christmas is an excuse to get gifts? Well, Valentine’s Day is an excuse for like, boy/girl stuff.”

Danielle Deserio- “It’s nice.”

Danielle Reynolds: “Valentine’s Day is not good. It can be, but it can also hurt people. It’s a bad holiday. We don’t even have school off.”

Tommy Mills- “It’s cute and romantic.”

Victoria Clemente- “It’s dumb, and it’s just an excuse for women to get mad at their boyfriends for not being romantic enough.”

Ian Bullis- “You’re asking the wrong person.”

Tom Guererri- “Its so sick, bro.”

Pierson Brownell- “It’s a chick holiday.”

Caitlyn Noonan- “It’s fun to hang out with your boy or girl and get chocolates.”

Scott Deserio- “I personally don’t really care about Valentine’s Day. I never really understood it.”

Meghan Heal- “I think Valentine’s Day is the most romantic day of the year. It’s really sweet-and I’m not just saying that because of all the chocolate. For people who don’t have anyone special, it’s like any other day. For those who do, it’s a lot of fun. There’s nothing really bad about it.”
