At-a-glance

On December 9th, Mr. Tucci and Mr. Fedor took advanced photo, digital photo, and basic photo students on a trip to New York City.

After leaving the school at 8 AM, the school buses arrived at 58th and 5th next to F.A.O. Schwartz around 11 AM. The eighty photo students that went on the trip had three hours to complete a photo scavenger hunt.  In the three hours, they took  panoramic pictures, an odd angle on the escalator in Trump Towers, candid photographs of complete strangers, people in uniform, and a reflection of yourself, as well as a merger, something he would love to buy, a sculpture, tourist-like pose, and finally a favorite window display.  “The displays in Tiffany’s were awesome," said Sarah Parent. "The diamonds were gorgeous!”

Some of the sites to see were Radio City, NY Public Library, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Trump Towers, Rockefeller Center, Sharper Image, Plaza Hotel, Saks 5th Avenue, Tiffany’s, and last but not least, Times Square.

For those that haven’t made it to New York City yet, it was a very enjoyable learning experience.
