When you think of green living, what’s the first thing you think of? For me, it’s the environment and how I can help it. There are so many ways you can reduce your carbon footprint, and they’re easy to do too!

One of the most common ways you can help the environment is by recycling. How hard is it to throw a water bottle in a different trash can? Also, recycling paper, old cell phones, computers and so much more are just as easy. Even local stores have bins where you can go in and recycle all your old electronics. For example, Best Buy, they will take anything old or new no matter where you got it from. Also, in Goshen High School in room A113, Mrs. Grandolfo has recycling bins for the high school students and faculty. When she’s done collecting, she brings them to a store, like Best Buy, so she can recycle them properly and safely.

Another great tip is to save old ripped clothes and turn them into cleaning rags and turn them into to clothes for your children’s dolls. Also, if you’re cleaning out your drawers and you come across clothes that don’t fit, instead of throwing them out, donate them. You can even save supermarket bags and use them in your house for storage and to carry various items when you travel.

Green living is very important and everyone in some way should be concerned about it. This is the planet we live on and in order to keep living here we need to do some cleaning up and become smart about our lifestyle. Every person in the world is able to do something, even if it’s just recycling water bottles, it still helps.
