The Marionette staff does not endorse "butt capes" on prom dresses. - Kristena Matlock

Prom is coming up quick and girls are getting ready to buy their dresses. Searching for the perfect dress can be either exciting or a complete nightmare, especially if you’re not sure what to look for. Here are some helpful tips for picking out the perfect dress to make the night all the more special.
DOs
1. Wear a dress! Don’t show up to prom in pants, ever.
2. Cover all assets! We don’t want to see anything hanging out.
3. You must be able to sit down and raise your arms in your dress.
4. Wear a dress that fits your form. You don’t want it too tight or too loose. Remember: only you know the size of your dress.
5. Wear heels that work with your dress.
Don’ts
1. Don’t wear your hair straight down- get it done and dress it up!
2. Don’t wear a dress you can’t dance in!
3. Don’t wear heels you can’t walk in.
4. Don’t wear dyed shoes- they don’t have to match the color of your dress, but they do have to look nice.
5. Don’t wear a dress with a long train or a butt cape. It will be tripped over.
