Over the years, the question, “Who wears the pants in the relationship,” has been asked over and over again. So really, who does? The guy or the girl?

            Many people jump to the assumption that it’s the male that runs the relationship, but this is not always true. “I don’t like arguing really, so whatever she says go,” say an anonymous Kaiser High student. Yes, of course in some relationships one gender does dominate over the other. Seriously though: its 2009, shouldn’t relationship these days be equal? Women and men both have equal values and rights, so why should one be dominant over the other? Why do some people feel it is the man’s job to be more dominant? “Yes, my girlfriend Shemariah and I have talked about this before, she said I practically do wear the pants in most situations, but as long as she has a say in it, I’m still the dictator,” said sophomore Dennis Taylor on his relationship with Shemariah Smith.

            Yes, men have had a over ruling authority in past times, but this is now, not then. So why can’t we all just finally be equal?

            How come someone can’t wear the pants and the other wear the shirt? Ever think about that?
