Okay, as if being a teenager and having to live in a small town like Colusa with nothing to do wasn’t bad enough; we also have to wait until we are juniors and seniors to go off campus for lunch, that’s really fair, right? Not only do we have to wait two whole years before we are able to leave the high school campus for lunch, we are very limited to the types of food that we can actually obtain in this town. Let’s face it guys; no one has enough money to be spending seven or eight dollars on food a day. Saving money is a great thing and by eating at places like Burger King, Round Table, and Tacos El Amigo saving money is really easy.

Everyone knows that Burger King has some really good food, and the prices are also not a turn off. If you’re looking for a big sandwich or burger, BK has got you covered. The Chicken Tender Grill and the Double Bacon Cheeseburger are both very filling and cost $3.99 each plus tax. A Bacon Cheeseburger and a Whopper both cost $3.49 each plus tax. Now if you’re really broke, don’t worry, there’s always the Dollar Menu. It Consists of Small Chicken Tenders, Whopper Jr., Cheeseburger, Hamburger, a Small drink, and Mozz stix. So Buger King is definitely a good place to go for the lunch time rush.

If you’re in the mood for something more like pizza Round Table is the place to be during lunch time. Everyone loves appetizers and there is no doubt that Round Table has the best. One order of Garlic Parmesan Twists is only $2.99, an order of Buffalo wings is $5.29, and Garlic Bread is only $2.69. Now if pizza is more your style Round Table has a number of great lunch specials like; Lunch Special #3 which consists of; One-Topping Personal Thin Crust Pizza and 20 oz. Drink for only $5.99. Oh and we can’t forget the famous Round Table All-You-Can-Eat lunch buffet for only $6.99. Round Table is certainly a good choice if you want to save money.

If you’re not looking for any pizza or burgers and just want some real authentic Mexican food there is Tacos El Amigo de Colima that is located across the street from Burger King. The food at this place is amazing, and they have prices to match. A regular burrito is $3.75, and a super burrito is $4.83, and quesadillas are $3.35. Tostadas are $1.71, Tacos are $1.34 each, and Tortas are $3.75. If you don’t want to have to wait for your food call ahead, the number is (530)-458-2883.

Although food options are limited here in Colusa, we make the best of the food we have in this town and the prices.
