ODEM - Gabbi Licerio had a career defensive game, picking up 16 digs, but the varsity Ladycats dropped a five-game decision to the Odem Lady Owls; 24-26, 25-21, 25-13, 9-25, and 4-15.
The loss dropped the Ladycats into a three-way tie for third place in District 30-2A action.
Erica Ortiz recorded 6 digs, 6 kills, and a career high 14 aces. Licerio added 9 assist and 5 kills, while outside hitter Akesha Jackson had 8 kills, 9 digs, and 2 aces.
Setter Karen Rocha had a season-high 13 assists.
At the Junior High, the 8th grade "A" team was victorious over Odem, 25-11, 25-13. The 8th grade "B" team lost to Odem 19-25, 22-25.
The 7th grade "A" team defeated Odem 25-17, 25-6, while the 7th "B" team won 25-12 , 25-17.
