When I was seven, I thought coffee was the nastiest lurking liquid known to mankind, but as I have grown up, I find coffee is not as bad as I thought.
Not only is the taste impeccable, but different coffees sound great, too. For instance, Guatamala Casi Cielo just rolls off the tongue nicely, doesn't it?
Some people love coffee, and in parts of the planet some people can't stand even the aroma, much less the taste.
Mrs. Hellen Mahaffy, JC-M government teacher, isn't even allowed to touch her own coffee maker, because her husband is afraid she will break it.
Mrs. Mary Beth Seltzer, a teacher that transferred to Madison used to be the coffee-maker for the social studies wing at JC-M, but when Mrs. Seltzer left, Mrs. Mahaffey took over coffee duty. However, none of the faculty would drink it because it was so bad.
If you are a Mahaffy, you may choose a different route other than giving up what could be a perfectly good coffee experience.
Adding eggshells to the grounds of coffee is said to take away a portion of the bitter taste that can be associated with cheap or over extracted coffee, from coffee faq.com's coffee website.
On the other hand, for someone like Mrs. Mary Ann Hamblen, JC-M P.E. teacher, you may like your coffee to be bitter-no sugar, just milk.
"When I was 24, I started drinking coffee and I developed a love for that wonderful coffee bean," she said.
At some points in her life, Mrs. Hamblen said she would have forked over $20 for a cup of coffee because she loved it so much, but she never had to.
Like Mrs. Hamblen, some coffee drinkers are addicted and suffer caffeine withdrawals if they don't consume coffee so long, getting intolerable headaches.
Mrs. Laura Beaver, JC-M algebra teacher, saud she is addicted to coffee as well.
Problems may occur from this addiction though, because it affects your natural physical balance, according to Mrs. Beaver.
For those who hate and despise coffee, they don't have to worry about the effects of coffee, but don't think you are exempt from caffeine addiction. A Red Bull "high-energy" drink, for example, has 80 milligrams of caffeine, and Pepsi One and Mountain Dew, 55 each.
If you're at all concerned about racing heartbeat and debilitating headaches from caffeine addiction, stick with Sierra Mist or an A&W Root Beer. They have none at all. Then again, you may doze off in class without that Venti Starbucks.
