Students have been walking around campus wondering what all the construction is for. Several things are happening. Renovation has begun on the former industrial arts building to create a new central office.
The existing kitchens at the high school and primary are being expanded to create more space for food service.
An elevator will consume the existing athletic training room in the gym to allow access to the mezzanine and building.
"It will be a year from now before everything is done," said Mr. McClain, principal.
Changes in security will come sooner. "Through grant funding obtained by the Oak Grove Police Department and the gererous donation efforts of Bob Shores with Maxim Security, some additional security measures will be added to OGHS and other district buildings," said Mr. McClain.
Patrons entering the front doors will have to push a button on a gray box located in the front entry. The office staff will then have to acknowledge the request to enter and electronically allow the patron to enter.
