Internet was first invented in the 1950's. No one person invented internet, but Leonard Kleinrock was the first to publish a paper about the idea of packet switching, which is essential to the Internet. The internet has opened the path for much more technology.
Today in the year 2009, there is much more advanced technology than when it was first invented in the 1950's. We have cell phones and laptops. We have Mp3 players and IPOD's. Today's youth is greatly being affected by technology. Every teen owns a IPOD, MP3 player, cell phone, or possibly all of the above. No one memorizes phone numbers anymore, and we rarely use the radio unless we are in the car.
In addition, teens are learning how to commit crimes using technology. It's so easy for a teen to hack into someone's email account or charge a credit card online. Not only is the crime rate going up, but teens aren't challenging themselves because they have technical devices to work for them.
Although, technology make life easier in many ways, we have lost somethings due to our overuse of technology. Everyone should take some time out of their day to do things the old fashioned way.
