There is a lot of gang violence that's going on in Detroit. I think we should get kids to stop getting in gangs, so they can live a better, safer life then one that brings them to death or jail. In order to do this, we should start programs to educate kids about gangs. The reason why we should do this is because it will get kids to stop getting in trouble, it could make the environment safer, and it could get kids to be smarter and get them away from the streets. Another reason is it can get them a better life then endimg up dead or in jail.
Gang violence also ruins all the fun too, like festivals, parades, or activity in the city. If there wasn't any gangs in southwest, this place would be peaceful and quiet. Gangs are stupid and dumb, and teens in them act immature. Some people get in gangs because they think they will be powerful, and so that other people can fear them. Probably they've been bullied all their life, so they join the gang so they won't get bullied again. They think that being in a gang could protect them, but the truth is being in a gang leads you on the road of death or jail.
