For many years members of the American Legion place flags around the community of Cameron on patriotic holidays. Recently on Remembrance Day (9/11) there were no members of the Legion available to place flags. Several Cameron High School students and one former student stepped up to make sure the flags were properly placed to honor and remember those who have served or lost their lives in our country. Megan Ensign, Tori Naylor, Aubrey Roach and former student Jarrod Switlik got up before 6AM to have all the flags in position by 6AM. The students then took each flag down at the end of the day. These students embody service with their willingness to forego sleep to make sure the flags were properly set out.
