Student Council has the responsibility of organizing and presenting the school’s major events such as dances, graduation, and school spirit events. Student Council puts in a lot of effort and time in directing school actions. They stay after school for all the meetings, and argue among each other for whose opinions are finest.

Kaila Thornton, a member of Student Council, benefits from Student Council. “At the beginning we sit around at meetings and discuss thoughts. It’s really fun to arrange the school events.” Ideas the Student Council presents can be made up from the student government or the student body. All our past formals are from the hard thoughts of the school.

Also Student Council president, Lindsey Toler, enjoys being president of the student government. “I love having the responsibility. Also, it can look good for college having them know I can take the heat and also take the responsibility on my shoulders.” Toler takes the pleasure in all the people that join Student Council, all the people are fun to be around and have great ideas.

Another member of Student Council, Courtney Kinnett, is in the sophomore class. Kinnett as well benefits from all the amazing people in the Student Board. She said, “I love all the awesome ideas the people come up with.”

Holding the responsibility of the whole school events can take a lot of time and effort. Being in the Student Council can improve your people skills and understanding hard work. As well as working with other people in your environment, in the future your peers you may be working with people you don’t like you still have to transaction with them. Student Council is a great opportunity to learn, have more friends, and good for college applications.
