Kjersti Anderson was one of a kind. She truly succeeded in living life to the fullest. Luckily, people envied her simply for the fact that she had an unbelievable attitude that any of us would desire. She had an outlook of not caring what others thought of her. Many respected that because it didn’t put a stop to her for doing what she wanted. She helped many cope with their feelings of distress when they had any. She could put a smile on anybody’s face. She had a tough life at home as well, dealing with a mother fighting with cancer. In a way, that must have made her stronger since she was used to finding the light at the end of the tunnel. Her mom constantly struggled to keep her own life and a lot of it had to do with Kjersti. She was an inspiration to many of us.

The drama class will perform A Midsummer Night’s Dream, with merriment, honoring Kjersti’s life. They will not dwell on her death. They will celebrate her life, only because that’s what she would want. She admired theatre, and they will keep that in their hearts as they perform. She will be there watching the play, maybe not physically, but she will be watching.

Speech will definitely not be the same next year. Many do not know, but the speech team creates an unbreakable bond. They are like a family. Kjersti was apart of that and was very talented too. She contributed a lot to the many winnings Platte Canyon had.

Also, Kjersti was in PCTV and newspaper. She had a spark of creativity in her as well. It’s so tough to know that we can’t hear those amazing ideas anymore. It was an honor to be apart of her life.

As morbid as it sounds, life can end in seconds. We must cherish it while we can. That means we all must live in the moment, and act as if it could be the last day of life. Everyone deserves to be treated nicely. Sadly, a tragedy did occur, but it brings optimism into our environment. Kjersti was always a strong well being. We must continue to be burly and cherish life because we all know she would.
