Kjersti Anderson, sixteen year old sophomore at Platte Canyon High School, was in a car accident on May 2, 2009 at approximately 12:22 pm. The car that hit her was in her lane, and he hit her. She did not make it.
Kjersti could always find the good in any situation. She was happy almost all of the time. She was a shoulder to cry on, and she forgave easily. It seemed like she would always be there.
Whenever anyone was having a bad day, she could make them smile with a word, or just a show of love. She loved everyone. People’s lives were changed when they met her. She was a force of nature.
Kjersti’s accident is a horrible tragedy. There is nothing worse than when a child is lost, and there will always be times when it seems impossible to go on without her.
Through all of this, though, there is a lot to be learned from what happened to her. Life is too short to spend it miserable. Kjersti would want everyone to go on with their lives. She would want to be loved and remembered, but she wanted everyone to be happy.
The memories of Kjersti will live on in everyone who knew and loved her. It is through these memories that she lives. As long as she is not forgotten, Kjersti will remain.
