The Orange Blossom Festival, otherwise known as Open House, is held every spring at Orange High. On April 14th many clubs and organizations hosted booths to represent themselves. This year an additional organization joined the event; the French Club headed by the teacher advisor Madame Kiddé and the student president Alec Moore. The festival at lunch was a smash hit when many different organizations such as MECHA, Soccer, and ASB sold food, drinks, and even trinkets to take home. Students flocked to the quad area to participate in this event.
The Open House portion kicked off at 6 p.m. as the quad area re-opened to students and parents. A performance from the OHS Dance and Cheer team occurred soon after. At 7 p.m. MCJROTC held a color guard and drill team performance which was followed by a speech made by S.K. Johnson. He praised the work of the students and staff, while informing parents on school involvement. Afterwards parents were allowed to roam the campus and visit their child’s classes. Many parents enjoyed the festivities given by the teachers, staff, and students. Overall, the night was a success and the festival ended on a good note.
