Busch Garden’s annual Howl-O-Scream is back in action with ghosts, frights and jack-o-lanterns.

Busch Gardens has added on Last Laugh Industries to their scare list this year. A clown maze, it has secret buttons that can make objects and actors jump out at guests.

Nicole Gowen (Fr.) said, “it scared me out of my wits! It was so scary that I’m going again.” Her favorite attractions were the haunted houses. Lauren Tappen (So.) said, “the wolf people scared me when it was dark. The clown maze was not as good as it was last year, though.” She especially enjoyed the haunted house at Escape from Pompeii, called Curse of Pompeii.

The maze beneath Escape from Pompeii takes guests on an expedition through an archaeological excavation. Park guests search for ancient treasure that the ruins hold. The treasure is an ancient mask of the Roman Emperor. The attraction warns that tons of traps and man-eating plants await those foolish enough to enter the Curse of Pompeii who try to recover the emperor’s mask.

Shows this year include Night Scares, Starfright Orchestra, Fiends in the Festhaus, and Jack is Back. Kayla Estes (Fr.) said, “I liked it this year, but last year was better.”

All those who purchased season passes for the 2006 summer season received complimentary admission for Howl-O-Scream.
