Footloose, the AHS Spring Musical, debuted Thursday, March 12, 2009, and had two more performances into that weekend. The play starred sophomore John Lynch as Ren McCormack, junior Caroline Smith as Ariel Moore and junior Greg Cronin as Reverend Shaw Moore. Many members of the cast showcased their singing and dancing abilities within the ‘80s based play.

    Senior Kristina Oberlander commented, “I was very impressed with all the cast’s voices. Caroline and Greg were so good!” The stage crew and pit orchestra accompanied the cast in their efforts. 
    The performance was very upbeat and eye-, as well as ear-, catching. “I loved Dan Pasquale in this play,” commented senior Sara Oakley. She went on to say, “He made me laugh so hard that I almost cried.”

    Cast members ranging from freshmen to seniors had their own moments to shine. Many students and faculty at AHS agreed that the talents were mind-blowing. For seniors, this play was a great end to their years in the drama program, and for underclassmen, a great performance to build off of in the future.
